55: Singapore Art Museum

Yoohooo~
warning: long post ahead

A few days ago, I went to visit Singapore Art Museum with Carel with a motive of wanting to try their photo booth. Anyway, met her at Bugis and as usual, I WAS LATE. HAHAHA. Bought bubbletea and went took the bus to CHIJMES and had to walk for awhile to the museum. The weather wasn't cooperating at all. So bloody hot!

Finally arrived at the museum and we were in awe because even the exterior was so pretty. We couldn't say no to such view so we took some pictures along the "hallway".

Sorry I just had to. HAHAHA.

Went on into the museum and it was free because we are students. What a pleasant surprise. Took a few pictures of different art pieces.

This was very cool as it was made from sand paper! How cool.

Don't have the slighted idea what was this art piece about but I liked the angle I took this picture. HAHAHA.

Different shades of my favourite colour!!!

The shadow made from this object is so cool.

If I'm not wrong, this was made from chalk. COOOL.

No slightest idea what is this but it was freaking creepy so I faster moved on from this area.

Trying to look artistic

Really love this particular picture that I took for Carel.

Exited from that "section"(?) of the building and went to take some "artistic" pictures with the white wall. HAHAHA.

I swear I can't pose.

You sense the "feel"? HAHAHA

For some reasons, this looks a bit like the signature Marilyn Monroe pose. HAAHA.

I can't keep a straight face.

I actually love this picture quite a lot.

Saw this Lee Kuan Yew art piece and it was so nicely done. So cool.
He passed on a few days ago on 23 March 2015...
Rest in peace, Mr Lee.

Moving on, we went to walk around to visit more galleries but apparently we came at the wrong time as most of them were under construction. :( So we went to SAM8Q where the photobooth is! However, when we reached there, there was a long queue so we went to explore the galleries. Most of them were very kiddish I have no idea why.

Really nicely done doodles on the wall, though.

Especially love this particular gallery in SAM8Q because it was all handmade by the visitors who visited this place (I suppose). So very pretty.

SO MANY KNITTED PIECES.

After that, we went to the photo booth and took 4 times. We looked horrible in the second one so we wanted to take more. HAHAHA.

3 phrases of Carel posing.

Thinking hard on what to pose

Still thinking very hard.

Decides to swing my head. HAHAHA.

Exited the museum and went to Starbucks to chill while we wait for jeff as we planned to have dinner together. Went to Tiramisu Hero and lost our way while on the way there. HAHAHA. However, we found the place ultimately. We sat at the small table right in front of the counter and ya, it was very difficult eating on such a short table. Anyway, the service was really horrible. I have no idea what kind of day did the waitress went through but she was giving us the very unhappy face the moment we stepped into the cafe. She even sort of banged our cups of water on the table and gave the menu to us very rudely. BAD BAD BAD SERVICE.

Anyways, Jeff and I settled for Mac 'n' Cheese while Carel had Aglio Olio. The Mac 'n' Cheese was a very small portion which didn't even filled my stomach. After we finished the food, we left the place promptly as we didn't want to stay there any longer due to the bad service.

Went to Dhoby Ghaut as we wanted to get Nookie but we got carried away while talking and decided to go to Substation's Timbre in the end. It was something like a bar or pub hahaha. My virgin experience! Anyway, we were sweating a lot as the place wasn't air conditioned and we had to wait for a very long time for an available seat due to the huge crowd.

While waiting at the bar.

We finally got a seat around 1 hour later. Gosh. Anyway, we quickly ordered our drinks while we enjoyed the band's music. So damn good. I would love to visit this place again.

Cheers!

We left the place at around 12 am. There wasn't any train service anymore so we had to cab home. We cabbed home separately as we were living in different places.

Couldn't remember what I did when I reached home because I was tired as hell. Of course I did took a bath. HAHAHA.

Okay I shall end this lengthy post now. TOODLES~

54: Catching up

Hey there!

Recently, I finally met up with my good old friend, Yock Yen. It's been ages since we last met and I was so damn nervous while I was on my way to meet her, you won't understand that feeling! It's like my heart was beating so god damn fast I was panting. Yes, that serious. I don't even know why was I like that. Anyway, I was late when I met her... Well, I'm a tardy queen. Every single time.

I was surprised that it wasn't a least bit awkward at all because normally I would be so awkward when I haven't seen some one for ages. Glad it wasn't awkward. We went on and talked about our poly lives and blah blah blah, while we walked to Orchard Central to eat Dean & Deluca. However, plans changed while we walked past Lady M and decided to give it a try. We took awhile to finally decide what we wanted to eat because everything (cakes) on the menu looked so delicious.

In the end, I settled with some chocolate mille crepe cake while she settled for the green tea mille crepe cake. While waiting for the cakes to arrived, we continued chatting and took pictures!

This place looks so niceeeeee. Absolutely love it!

Our cakes arrived! As usual, spent a while trying to find the right angle to take a picture of the cakes.

It was so delicious! But Yock Yen had a hard time trying to eat her cake nicely because the green tea cream (?) in between the crepes melted very quickly so she ended up with a very messy green pile of thing. Glad mine wasn't like her. I really enjoyed the cake because it's so yummy and filling. Will definitely be back to try out their other cakes!

We took tons of selfies together, from the glam ones to the very unglam ones. But I'm just gonna post some of the more glamorous ones and maybe a few of the acceptable unglam ones.

Sat there and did some serious catching up session and before we knew it, about an hour had passed and there was a long queue outside. So we settled our bill and went to shop around cineleisure and ION. We were trying to find some nice highwaisted shorts but apparently it isn't that easy. So we ended up with nothing.

Went to settle our dinner at Genki Sushi and fed myself too much I was so damn bloated.

(we ordered much more food after that)

After dinner, we continued and went shopping at Orchard's Forever21, hoping to find some decent shorts to buy. Bad luck us, we didn't find anything! Went home after that as she had to prepare for her friend's birthday the next day.

Definitely looking forward to the next time I'll be meeting her!

53: There's a limit to everything

Hey people~ Time to update my life!

Chinese New Year

I know this is damn late, like I shouldn't even be saying this right now but who cares. I STILL WANNA SAY IT. And that is, 新年快乐!!! Don't really know much about the chinese phrases because I suck. (Yeah, I just admitted that I suck) Anyway, the only thing I enjoyed is eating steamboat everyday for dinner. I am not being sarcastic. I LOVE STEAMBOATS. I have no idea why but I just love it so much. It feels like CNY when I'm eating steamboat so I don't eat it on other normal days.

Didn't really enjoyed this year's CNY simply because there were some conflict going on in my family which I won't be elaborating on. Pisses me off every time I think about it. Bad things aside, my first day of CNY wasn't that splendid. Some relatives came to my house, because my grandma is staying in my house and all my aunts will come and visit her. I am happy because I get lots of red packets. $_$ Did a little catch up with my cousin. It seems like years since we last talked to each other because the last time ended with a fight. Childish days. Anyway, I'm glad we are on talking terms right now even though it's still a little awkward. Well... I'm always awkward.

Second day was busy! Went to my boss' house with my sister to have steamboat and played cards. My luck is shit. Din't manage to win any money but I'm lucky to at least win back what I lost. So it's equivalent to no gain no loss. Not that bad but I would definitely prefer winning some money......

A picture with my sister when I spotted this full length mirror in my boss' house.

You don't know how I happy I am to be able to fit into this skirt because when I first bought it online, I couldn't even zip it up because I'm too fat. BUT NOW I CAN. SOMEBODY HAND ME SOME TISSUES.

........ Moving on, went back home in the late afternoon, got changed and went to my maternal grandparents' home. LOVING MY OUTFIT. The outfit was the highlight of my CNY because I bought them with the intention of wearing it during CNY while the one I wore to my boss' house wasn't. Especially loving the sliver loafers from Charles and Keith. Everything is perfect..... except for my face. Ha, whatever.

Since CNY happened in the middle of exams, I had to split my brain into half, literally. Hate exams. I wasn't even that prepared but oh wells, blame myself for studying last minute all the fucking time. Annoyed by myself.

Happy news, wen't out with my homies right after the last paper. I'm so happy. But we didn't get to take a proper picture because Gabby and Sheena were rushing off somewhere. So I only ended up with a picture with Tatiana while Sheena and Alanis were getting their IIaoIIao. (I still prefer calling it LLaoLLao to iiaoiiao)
1/8 of my face gone hahaha.

After Sheena left, we went to The Cathay to satisfy our cravings for ice-cream. We settled down at MilkCow. Not very delicious though, because it was too milky...

We ordered some cookies and cream thingy and this big ass cotton candy.
I hate cotton candies, actually. But it seems cool.

Parted with Alanis and went to meet Carel and Jeff for some chilling session at ION's Starbucks where the waitress couldn't spell my name properly despite me spelling it for her... Annoyed.

I miss spending time with them as a clique but well, things will not be the same anymore... Anyways, had a great laugh with them while playing STOP which I got bored of after a few days.

I got home and had a pleasant surprise! Guess what? My "Love, Tanya" and "Girl Online" books finally arrived!

I haven't started reading them yet but I'm very sure that they will be good! So excited!

Tatiana came to my house the next day as we planned to watch Fifty Shades of Grey since we can't watch it in the cinema (it is freaking R21 in Singapore while it was just PG13 in the US. I'm so annoyed) However, we couldn't find any links to watch so we ended up watching an English film "The Riot Club". Half of the time I was wondering what are they talking about because their accent is too damn strong for me. It was boring as hell too because it's just simply not nice. I'm sorry. (not really) Anyway, sent Tatiana off and went to meet my sister as we wanted to go to the Uncle Ringo fair thingy. I was damn excited because it's been ages since I played in the funfairs. But I was so disappointed because it was damn costly. So we ended up not playing anything. Like everything was so not worth their prices. Went to walk around Marina Bay Float and took a few pictures which I think they sucked because I simply have no photography skills. Anyway, I will still show you.

Yup, I find these peacocks cool.

Trying to take a picture with the thingy thingy behind and obviously failed.

Went out with Tatiana again the next day to Vivo City and caught Focus with her. I love the movie so much and would gladly rate it 6/5. It's that good. Roamed around and had dinner at Marché which was horrible because we should have shared the rosti. We were so bloated when we finished the rosti but still went on and order a slice of chocolate cake each because they looked so yummy. However, we didn't finish the cake because our tummies were about to explode. Home sweet home after that.

Went to facial in the morning after a few days and since I had work in the evening, I went to shop around and chilled in Starbucks while I read my book! Really love spending quality time with myself in an environment so relaxing. Wanna have more of this kind of time for myself in future! I feel so American doing this. Hahahaha. Side note, the belgian waffles weren't up to expectations at all. NOT NICE.

I'm in the middle of my holidays right now. I am so glad exams are over and I finally have lots of free time for myself. 2 weeks have passed and I am not even proud to say that I haven't been spending my days wisely.

My first week of holiday was rather packed as I worked for a few days. Then the second week, I packed my room (still not done yet because I got so lazy halfway...), baked some pizza for the first time, work, baked cake to celebrate dad's birthday, and went out with Tatiana. Rather productive since I'm doing something meaningful everyday. I feel so broke right now because I've spent almost all my money. I'm just waiting for my next payday right now... Screw me. But I have an excuse! 5 birthdays coming up, how can I not spend so much??

I am a proud daughter because I baked cake for my dad and even bought him a gift! Something he really need, a bag, since his Timberland bagpack spoiled. So, I got him a very simply designed Herschel bagpack. I'm sure he liked it because he started using it after a few days. I don't have any pictures of the cake I baked because it looks very awful. I failed at the icing part because I can't make royal icing for God's sake. And so, the words I wrote on it sort of smudged.... Ha.......... Not proud of it at all, hence, no pictures.

However, I am very proud of the pizza I baked.

It's magherita, everybody!!! My all time favourite pizza of alllllllllllllllllllllllll. Now I can bake for myself instead of spending money to buy it outside. Although it's not exactly a success since the dough didn't really rise properly. However, it still tastes heavenly good. One of the many reasons why I love myself so much. Hahahaha.

Caught 2 movies in a day with Tatiana on Friday and they were awesome! Again, I wouldn't mind rating them 6/5. SO SO SO SO SO SO SO GOOD! Don't expect to see our faces in any pictures because Tatiana doesn't like to take pictures... Sighhhhhhhhhhh. Anyway, enjoyed my day because I LOVE WATCHING MOVIES.

Having been loving my work lately because I just made a new same age friend. She is very hyper and some times a bit clingy which I hate. But overall, she's good. Kind, cheerful, yeah. Some random pictures taken during work!

My new friend, Nina

Weird things my boss does to me. I like her though because she's so good to me, to everyone.

Mandy got for us rosesssssssss.

Posing with the roses Mandy bought for us.
Look at how uncomfortable my boss is standing. HAHAHA.
Angelina, myself, Pearly (my boss), and Serina

Spent some quality time with myself today and also met up with Sheena after her work to look for Tatiana's present.

Selfie for you. HAHA.

Okay, this post is damn long but I hope you enjoyed reading. I will post again very soon~

Till then, x
